I approached Dave in October 2024 alongside 4 other solar panel installers. We went through an intensive "due diligence" process which Dave was incredibly patient and demonstrated immense knowledge. He designed a bespoke system and gave several options to meet our needs. We decided to go with Dave because of his knowledge, helpful approach and he really worked with us to be as competitive as possible. The 17.2kw system and 40 panels were installed over 3 days by Dave and up to 4 lads at anytime. They travelled 100 miles daily in near freezing temperature and worked very hard typically from 7am-4pm. Since installation Dave remains very responsive to queries and often enquires how things are going. We have recently passed 100 days since installation and it's working well. I measure the expected performance daily and so far we have achieved 78.42% versus expected the output. However, this is improving daily. In December we were operating at 60% expected output, January circa 70%, February 84% and March so far is 85%. In March the average expected return is 31.3KW per day and we have already achieved as high as 39KW. So my overall experience as a solar panel novice is that the lows are lower and highs, higher than perhaps I expected. It certainly feels it's on it's way to get to the levels claimed by the independent data prior purchase (which obviously Dave has no control of when quoting). So in summary, I am a very happy customer, Dave is a lovely and very experienced installer, cares passionately to do a great job and has remained on hand ever since. It was a major investment of £17,000 for us, but we are very happy it has made a real difference we expect to achieve a much faster return than perhaps we expected. Thank you Dave & Team.

I found Dave and his employees were brilliant from start to finish installing my new Solar system with battery. They arrived on time and worked really hard. Nothing was to much trouble and they explained everything to me when asked. They treated my property with respect and when they finished left the site clean and tidy. For those of you thinking about having a solar array and battery fitted, I cannot recommend D Cookman Electrical highly enough. Right from the word go I knew that this was the correct decision by myself to give them the job of installing my solar panels and battery. From measuring up, to a personal meeting where we went through options and equipment he helped me throughout the complicated process of deciding which system to go for by addressing all my concerns and answering all my questions. An installation date was promptly booked and all necessary paperwork applied for and completed well in time for the install. On the day of the install a team consisting of no less than 5 vans arrived at 7am sharp and the work of installing 17 panels on three different roofs along with all associated electrical work, installation of a battery and installation of an ev charger was all completed by 4.30pm !! All work was completed to a very high standard of workmanship and the system was shown to be fully commissioned and working. Subsequently had a few queries and again these were addressed to a professional standard. The system is functioning exactly how I want it to. Dave is a very decent and polite individual and a true Gentleman in fact. I am more than happy. Thank you Dave.
