If you have family in The Ridgeway Lodge care home Dunstable I suggest you REMOVE them ASAP. A relative was placed here for respite with the view to long term however removed within 2 weeks. Made 3 complaints whilst there visiting and nothing improved. Medication wasn't given yet multiple requests to give. The "senior' doesn't know what a MAR chart is. Witnessed a resident be pushed into a door frame on purpose because she didn't want to put her foot on the wheelchair foot plate. Paperwork didn't tally up. Some paperwork included other people's Names and DOB but crossed out. Some paperwork used was photocopied from 2019 and 2021. Heating was turned off in bedroom so freezing cold each time visited. The list goes on. Approched management each time and the final straw was to insult us. Poorly ran. Have previously been under special measures and requires improvement however in the last year CQC report was Good. Just lucky we have POA so could remove with 1 day notice. CQC, social services, safeguarding, DOLS and police aware.

My mother moved into Ridgeway Lodge a couple of months ago and it's absolutely lovely. The staff work really hard in their care for their residents. The staff go above and beyond to meet the needs of the residents. Its such a happy place with plenty of activities to do, and choices.. Ridgeway Lodge is well kept and clean, it is a pleasure each time I visit as they include you too and this makes you feel part of a big loving family. Well done all of you 👏. I couldn't be happier and I feel that my mother is in the most safest of caring hands .

This home is run well under The Manager - Tom. Staff are friendly and professional.
